Evil Steve eyed the faithful. The faithful eyed him back.

"We must leave this place, so that we might fight again", roared Evil.

Evil Steve threw down the Teaspoon of Endless Toil, opened the Trousers of Endless Soil Capacity, and moved the Wooden Horse of Endless Gymnastic Fortitude.

An escape tunnel.

"While you lot have been trying to beat maso, I've been making a fortune smuggling illegal contraband!", roared Evil financially.

"Huzzah!", roared the Imperial Guard.

Evil hauled the wounded Blue up onto his weary shoulders.

"Are you with me?" roared Evil laconically. "Or am I going to die of embarrassment?"

i iz wearin' me "charlie don't surf t-shirt" and putting on me new scent "napalm in da morning" and i iz going to 'nam for 2 weeks. warty is vice but he az been quiet so i iz not sure if 'e iz about, so i iz nominatin' LavaLampMaster and Never-Never az da co-h'emperor of da west and da east.

and rainbird has quit playing as she can't get a handle on maso

Jaxom has a "Frenzy Mode", I'm afraid. It's a special ability. If he goes into a frenzy, he can submit ten 60k Maso scores in two weeks, and there are side effects, you see. I'm afraid there's little I can do. We all advised him not to "push the red button" but he's a curious sort. Fortunately, the thing has a cooldown time, so you shouldn't have to worry about it for a while once the effect wears off. Of course, the entire project is marked "experimental" and we can show you signed affidavits absolving us of responsibility for "incidental damage" and "aggressive behavior".

Milestone report!
My first maso win! ~36K points
50% diplomacy
10% trade
25% Luck
10% pop growth
Galaxy medium
planets: rare
tight clusters

I started out well, Earth 18, Sol V 16, 1 yellow (a 16 and a 15) in my sector, one more to the west(18). I first met the Yor Collective, and with trade, we became Close really fast, which just barely kept me from going to war with the Torians (Yor and Torians allied later).
I played mainly good, and ran into an Altarian freighter to Sol. It gave me another boost. A Drengin (my second good friend, fair weather style) star, the Drengin star, greeted me. They did control most of the resources until they died. Like the British empire. The homeland was tiny, but spread out. The Altarians beat me to a pivotal influence resource north of me, which gave me morale problems until the Torians got bored. I did keep the AI at war until the Yor-Torian alliance, which swept the entire galaxy clear of everyone but them and me. The fundies came along and killed the Yor in their coming and ruthlessly attacked the Torians with my financial backing. I won with the Terror Star on ally cheez-- I gave them a lot of stuff for an alliance, got Terror Star tech, et cetera. I know, quite an anticlimax, but I showed them GOOD.
