Hello all!

I just got my butt served back to me on a platter by the dread lords in the "siege" level of the campaign wiith the game set on "cakewalk "level. I will try that again later. But here are a couple of things I would love to see changed/adjusted for the game:

1) It would be great tech you have already researched in previous missions was still there in later missions. The tech tree is huge and researching the same stuff over and over gets old after a while IMO. (I have yet to build any large ships because the game is over before I can get there.)

2) Please change the way battles are resolved. In general it is a "first shot, first kill" system. I am not fond of this. If I am being attacked I want to be able to retaliate before my ship is destroyed. One last great act of defiance if you will.

The game looks great! I have been waiting for a successor to MOO2 for a long time and this one is almost it. I have not yet mastered the art of balancing all the aspects of the game.

I welcome any comments or suggestions and yes I have read the beginner guide and played the game against the AI on cakewalk level in an effort to learn the game better. Honestly, I don't get how to balance morale/approval and production.

Someone talk to me, please!

Hey Dallee! Glad you're enjoying the game...he're my take on these two issues.

1.) Technicially, what we should have done, is limited the tech tree so you could only get so far each turn. I know that some people are asking for the rollover-techs feature, but it may be a tad game-imbalancing when, in the earlier missions, you can build up techs very easilly, and could theoreticially get all the way up the tree in Mission 1 and just coast the rest of the way. We'll chat about this one around the office.

2.) This is by design and gives the offensive player a bit of an advantage. There's been talk of components that will force your ship to be the first to attack, but so far most of our time has been on feature tweaks and bug fixes, so these new components will probably have to wait until the expansion pack
