Stupid question.................... how do I break an alliance with a race so that I can attack them???

I don't know how to either. But what I have heard is that you can "accept" to help an "Ally" out when another one of your "Allies" declares war on the first ally; you'll break your alliance with the "aggressor ally."

But thats the only way I know how to do that and you're still stuck with the first ally.

i haven't been able to get people to ally me (I'm greedy, i like my tech and bc), but going through the manual, it mentioned something about the foregin stats window (the one with the spying) Under the spy cost bar thing there sould be a check box that'll let you break and alliance.

Click on Relations tab, under their picture by where you do espionage is a button cunningly called Break Alliance.
