They dont have a million ppl
They dont fix bugs by switching a 0 to a 1.

No, it's ok. I did make a bunch of fixes on my end yesterday and the sysoptions.mtd was supposed to be fixed, but as I explain in the note that I just posted, all of the files were read-only and so the changes that Brad posted didn't take. I believe that he will be fixing that today, so hopefully you'll have some bug fixes by tomorrow.

We also don't want to do a bunch of trivial updates. Bug fixes need to be noticeable. You will deifnitely notice this next update.

sorry I used to live with and act as tester boy for the author of CuteFTP. I am used to his style of updates I guess.

and fredrik. most bugs are small errors in syntax, wrong names for variables, or just qualify as a "Doh!, why the hell didn't I see that before"

I doubt you ever played with the first alpha of CuteFTP.

This is just an engine test. We had no idea until it went up whether it would even function on say Windows 98 with the BINK stuff because we'd never been done.

We're not planning to do more than 1 update per day.

Alex ( cuteftp ) was something of an interesting programmer. he would work one day per quarter. the guy could write code as easy as we write a letter home.

I've tried to go on through DGM a couple of times and check on GalCiv. It does say "update", but when I click on install, I'm told that the game is already installed.

Will I have to uninstall it to get the new patch with "Purchases" enabled and all that? Or hasn't there been a new patch since Wedensday?

Perhaps you could make a thread called "Patches" and post when you have compiled a new one for us to get?
