You have to be online when you finish a game. If you are, and GalCiv can detect the connection, it should prompt you to submit the score when you reach the summary screen.

Thanks, Arturus. Since I'm on a slow dial-up line (a curse of living in a rural area) that I share with other family members, I suspect I will very rarely be logged on when I finish a game. (:(

one of the tricks is to ctl-alt del out of the game just before you are going to win. start your dial-up get it active kill the task manager, switch back to the game and finish the aliens off when you get to the submit screen is when it looks for the internet connection. So if you can keep the rest of the family off the phone great. If not tell them we'll come visiting and we're bringing our aliens friends with us. And they make men in black aliens look like wimps

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give that a try. Of course the last game I thought I was going to win through influence about 2 hours before I actually did.

Instead of CAD I suggest you use Alt-tab to get to the desktop. I think there would be less risk of disrupting your OS.

You can wait until you win the game before connecting to the internet. When you win and the initial summary screen appears, alt+tab, connect to the internet, alt+tab back, hit done and the submit screen will appear.
