Crach opening foreign policy screen. Trap 5 at 0042083F

The last time I opened the foreign policy screen I traded with the last minor race remaining. After closing the foreign policy screen I conquered the race. The next time I opened the foreign policy screen (the same or next turn) the game crashed. I believe I had left the foreign policy screen selected at the "minor races" subscreen.

A similar problem was reported on previous builds, but I seem to recall the cercustances being slightly different.

Also, the "are you sure?" screen did not appear when I attacked the minor race ("Debug Message: Unable to open Bitmap file: Gfx\AreYouSure.pcx" appears in the debug file).

Here is the exception report.

Jack,

I figured Stardock was already working this one out, since it's been around for a while. However, I was just reading another thread where the influence bug (lose an election, gain a galaxy) seemed to be new to Brad, so I thought I'd throw my two cents into the pot.

CTD
This has happened to me a couple of times. In both cases, I accidentally selected the Minor Races diplomacy tab when the Minor Races had ceased to exist. I figured there was no error trap in place for trying to display a screen that no longer had any data (or had random data) to link to its output fields.

Are you sure?
I've noticed this in recent games, too. I assumed that this was a reflection of Stardock's cold-hearted ;) policy that Minor Races are "expansion fodder", but your debug info would belie that assumption.

By the way, kudos to Brad, who appears to either have multiple personalities or an excellent multi-tasker built into the one he's got.

End transmission.

I haven't tried in beta4a, but judging from past behavior, the tab should have disappeared when the last minor race was conquered. If that tab was the last one selected, that might not stop GalCiv from trying to open it anyway, though.

I just got a very similar exception when selecting the minor races tab, but unlike previous reports in this thread, there were still at least 2 minor races active.
