per pixel for the trial version of WB only works for the skins that came loaded for it. i believe with SStudio you can skin more things than you can see correctly in the trial WB

noReflection: for some reason, the way that works with the LogOn/Switch User buttons is that if you have a Background image for the LogOn/Switch...You don't get to see the highlight. But If you check out say for instance the way it's been done in Mike Bryant's Cyclops skin, he has done it backwards to what you would think it works. His Background are the round buttons, with the highlight .pnged in there nicely. His buttons are actually just a blank image with glyphs to fill the rest. Very nicely done.

I have been playing with SKS for some time now, you know trying to make the perfect skin for me. You'll find numerous quirks like this. Remember that this product has been "in develpment" along with WB5, and it was "built upon" and not rebuild from the ground up. So a lot of the old skinning ways are still in the program with new ones piled on top. A lot of experimenting is in order. I find this the fun in the whole thing of skinning. I doubt that even Adam (the SKS developer) knows all the things his creation can do. And there are a number of ways to get want you want out of each category in SKS.

Good luck and happy skinning!

Oh and "per-pixel" is what makes it possible for you to put shadows and transluscent borders in your skin. This is done with great creativity on your part and the use of .pngs in your graphic editor. There are a number of tutorials on the subject if you do a search in the Articles.

ok well i know what per pixel is now its the transparent aspect. But i couldnt find anything in the articles under tutorials but i managed. Per pixel also lets you create odd sized window boarders correct? I tried makeing a frame with one side higher then the other and it wont give me the option for transparentcy.

also if i understand this corectly i need the paid version of window blinds to see per pixle and paid version of skinstudio to make them right?
