Altarian history

I love the rich settings of GC2 universe and races. The articles on IGN are very inspiring for me.

...But where is the Altarians full story?
There is only one paragraph in Databank section about them. I thirst for it.

* I have not played DL campaign and I wonder if the Altarian history is spoiler?

(And I'm looking forward to the IGN Terran story... )

Altarian history is linked to human history. I believe it was covered in the altarian prophecy for gc1. But I don't know much about it myself.
