Overpowering events

I read in the manual, that no event was meant to be groundshattering, but merely providing a way for the player to shape them empire, in terms of "good and evil".
Am I the only on who thinks, that sometimes the "good" options are incredibibly hard on your empire? I've been asked to lose 700 BC in a game, where I had about 700 BC in order to be good.
There are other instances where I've thought that it was cruel options, hehe - but I've forgotten which :-)

Flemming,

How about the "earthworms" colonization event? Now that the number of exceptionally good planets is way down and you just about have to expect to get a whole bunch of class 15 and 16 planets, the loss of up to 40% in class can be very serious, and the gain of 40% can be tempting in the extreme.

How about the "underwaterbeasts" colonization event? With such a huge number of the planets available for colonization being close to 50% morale when colonized (class 15 with tax rate at about 50-60%), any loss of morale HURTS.

I think what happened here is that balancing was done for some aspects of the game, but the task was not carried out to all of the game's features.
