Incompatible save games between B & C?

I just installed the latest patch, and loaded my old savegame.
after pressing "NExt turn", the game showed a mysterious screen with lots of graph options and all the races on it, I presume this is the endgame screen?
After this, I pressed 2-3 keys to see what had happened, and it crashed.

Are the savegames between builds not compatible?

My 4b saved game didn't crash when loaded into 4c but all my previous research was gone and most completed social projects were missing.

It seems that the differing saved games are incompatible.

Razgon,

The answer to your question is "pretty much". There have been builds that were happy with previous save games but most of the time if you don't get outright crashes you at least get wierdness if you try to load a save from a previous build.
