Freighter bug

I first noticed this in 4b but it remains in 4c: I conquered a Star System and there is a freighter in orbit. In this case, the ship icon is Dregin but the ship info indicated Terran. Shouldnt all AI ships be destroyed when invading? I think the debug has answer:

update: I just quit and re-started game. the dregin icon became my own. Since I didnt build this freighter, there is a bug as this freighter shouldnt exist.

Ted,

At one point in the alpha/beta testing we had a build where conquering a planet with non-combatant ships (colony ships, freighters, etc.) allowed us to "capture" those ships along with the planet. When this was mentioned on this forum someone from Stardock said it was intentional. Since then I have had reason to believe this had changed, but it never really sunk in what was happening.

So, we need from Stardock:

1). Clarification of the intent with non-combatant ships in the orbit of a planet that is captured.

2). Making sure ICONs for ships are changed from one race to another without delay. (With what I remember of the intent (#1) this is the bug you are describing.)

Lucky has valid point. Are Colony ships combatant? They get destroyed with attacking a system.
