is it possible to un-save ship designs?

I find with each new game I play I build ships with different weapons, armor, etc. and have to constantly keep deleting ones I have little or no intention of using ever again. Is it possible to only save designs for the current game or be able to delete all the ones I've created at the end? P.S. Kep up the great work.

You can simply delete any ship files you don't want in the \My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships

I always save my base templates in an archived ships folder so that when I start a new game I simply have to delete the old ships folder (after archiving it) and replace it with the folder containing my base designs. This way each game will start fresh.

Another caveat is that the ships will also be saved in each saved game file - be careful as this could lead to confusing ship designs if using the same name from game to game. That is one reason I clear out my old ship folders. I also archive the save games with the old ship folder and restore both together if I want to play it again.

(BTW, for the metaverse ships, the path is slightly different. \My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\Metaverse\ships )

What I do is create a new hull design for each lvl of hulls. Then save that. Then in the game I add weapons and engines and defenses to it and then call it the same name with v1, v2 onj the end as I get better components. That way I can spend time making a cool looking ship that I can use every game as it has nothing but the hull.
