Can I manage .dxtheme files from Windows Explorer?

Hi:

Can I rename or delete the desktopX ".dxtheme" extension files directly from within Windows Explorer or do I need to use the DesktopX interface? I'm creating a lot of garbage out there and it would be easier to reorganize it from Explorer, but it occurs to me that doing so might cause a problem depending on how DesktopX references and manages them.

Thanks.

In case anyone else is/was/will be a little hesitant to do this:

It didn't seem to cause a problem. I renamed or deleted the files directly in the folders within explorer and renamed or deleted the corresponding .txt and .bmp preview files within the "ThumbsCache" subdirectory. I did have one preview that didn't want to come up for some reason but it refreshed itself after I loaded the desktop.

Here's another little tip: That ThumbsCache subdirectory doesn't seem to get cleaned out when you delete desktops within DesktopX. In other words it accumulates tiny little .txt and .bmp files along with their disk slack and leaves them there, so if you've deleted a bunch of desktops you might want to go into that folder and clean it out sometime when you're bored.
