Getting back old civ bonuses

Yo, i just got GalCiv2 and i ran into a small problem. In one game i played the Yor, and i changed their abilities to what i thought would suit them better, after my game i was going to start another one with Yor, and i noticed they still had the abilities i gave them, then i immediately started to find a way to revert back to their old bonuses, and i couldnt find any. So is there a way to get their old bonuses back, because i noticed they had a bonus of +100% loyalty which ye cant get with ordinary ability scores so how to do it?

I struggled with this as well. Use the "Clear" button at the bottom of the screen (NOT the Reset button) and the original civilization bonuses should return. The original name of the leader will not, however.

I believe that regardless of what changes you made playing as a particular race, when the race reverts to AI status it reaquires all of the standard attributes.

In other words you cannot set the preferences, politics or appearance of a race unless you choose to be that race.

Delete the customrace files in your galciv2 folder. As of beta4, changing attributes does not reset race abilities.

My Documents/My Games/GalCiv2/

Delete all the files titled CustomRace#.raceconfig

With # being 0,1,2,3 etc.

That will reset all the races to default.

An ingame way is, I believe, in the 1.1 patch, but if I were you I'd stick with 1.0X for now as 1.1 is still in Beta.

Get the latest 1.1 beta, and then delete all of your files in your galciv2 folder that say 'customrace9' or some other number. I had this bug as well, but 1.1 beta3 fixed it.
Some people are saying that the betas are causing bugs, but personally I haven't come across anything bad from them. Download them, they'll make your game a heck of a lot better.
