the best trading?

hey all im not too sure what the best thing to do with my freighters is
how do i know which will be the most profitable trade route?
Should i send it from my richest city, my most populated, the furthest away?

you should send it TO the most populated planet as far as you can

also try to build freighters on 1 planet, this way all you trade routes will start from there and you will be bale to build 1 starbase to cover them all with bonuses
