Inability to call off attack bug

Just found a bug for the first time.

I was sending a fleet against an enemy I was not at war with, and got the pop-up about warning what will happen if I attack.

Being in a Republic, I was playing as the Federalists and had recently lost control of the Senate to the Populists (fighting a very very long loosing war).

Anyway, on the pop-up it's basically all screwed up. I click "next" on the vote and it seems like I won the vote easily, yet the results say something like 42 For and 58 Against. So then it says war is rejected.

Problem is, the game sends me back to the war warning pop-up, and when I click "No" as in "never mind, I don't want to attack", nothing happens. Click click click, it doesn't respond.

I just have to keep clicking on the yes button and going to a vote for war I always loose, and nothing else in the game responds while the popup is there.

So basically the game locks up and there's nothing that can be done about it. Luckily I can just restore from a saved game, but obviously this is a rather significant bug.
