social build problem

I think this was reported a long time ago. if you purchase (on one planet) an item on the social build list, and then ourchase another item in the social build list, the money gets subtracted, neither gets built( will not show up in the details screen) and they are removed from the build list and the money gets subtracted from the treasury. It is possible to drain your treasury to complete collapse, remove all the items from the planets build list and have nothing left for that planet to do :sniff!:

Before everyone else jumps in and says you shouldn't do that, let me point out that it would be a good idea for the game to give you a pop-up that prevents you from changing a social project once you have bought it.

no you shouldn't do that, but some kid somewhere is going to forget he allready purchased 1 thing and he's going to be frustrated. I just looking for holes that need to be plugged up (i do have a friend in holland LOL )

In my experience, an item is built immediately upon being purchased. I recall using that and a surplus of money to terraform a class 11 planet to livable levels the turn it was colonized.

does that mean you could purchase a dreadnaught, avatar, and overlord in 1 move? Tha ai sneaks in thinking you don't have any ships and then....curtains :D

Ship production applied to one ship gets switched to the new ship if you change ship production, so, no ML, you will only get the last of those ships you switch to. The production left over then gets applied to the next ship you build. But on social projects, any production for one project stays with that project. If you switch to and finish another project, you can switch back to the unfinished one and continue where you left off.

Here is a question about your first post in this thread. Did you check the details screen AFTER going through a complete turn? Perhaps it would have turned up then? If so, perhaps you can buy more than one social project in a turn, but I think Brad should be asked about the intent.

Then I think SD should treat it as either a bug (when buying more than one social improvement on one planet in one turn the improvements do not show up in the details list) or a suggestion (do not allow more than one social project to be baught from one planet in one turn).
