Asking for PERMISSION

I,M making a weather object for DX.
When asking for permission. Am I asking for the use of the weather Images or the Scripts or both?
Or can I make a weather object that uses the weather images and scripts without permission as long as i don't copy or use graphics
that of another skin.
I guess what im trying to say is, I made a weather object with my own Graphics but uses weather scripts and the weather images like clouds and the sun ....that goes with
the scripts of other peoples weather objects.

First ask yourself . .. Does the world need another weather object? -=sigh=-

The images for the weather were created by stardock and have been released to the public. I would give credit to them.

The script that is used for most of these is by mormegil. He has released it for public use. Credit should be given though.

FYI - don't know if the issue changed, but there are some scripts out there where the writer of the script wants a permission request to use them

Not sure about the script your using, but the images are that of Mike Bryants Tronnix skin.

Hello,

is it not possible to write in the permission for a Internetpermission in the existing weather object for DX? I would need it. Till now I could not use it, because I do not know how to implement it. ( I'm not the programming expert   )

I wonder about this issue, too. I am in the process of modifying my gadget for my first release and I have had help from all over. I have improvised on at least 3 scripts from tutorials and widgets (I did do alot of the script myself, though). The graphics are all mine.

If I release a widget that anyone can open in DX Builder and look at the script I would expect that it would get used. So, if I release that widget for public use it'd be nice to get some credit but I wouldn't expect anyone to ask me for permission. That's just me though.

I think it would be best to always ask for permission if you know who made the scripts or images. I have asked for the permission and in most cases they all gave it with oppend arms!
