I have no problem with pagans. I've never heard of pagans committing acts of terrorisms, or hunting and burning people because they are different. And they certainly don't come knocking on your door with pamphlets telling you everything you believe is wrong, when they have no evidence they are right either.

I think that hunting for eggs which have been colored to be some sort of symbol that the gods love us is not for me and I am allergic to vinegar dyes..

Conquest there are alot of pagan religions and while Christianity was converting 'heathens' it adopted alot of local customs. Christmas is a perfect example of a holiday that exist with bits and pieces of many different cultures.
