ok - just an idea I wondered if people wanted to jump on - we should make a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for everyone, about the most common questions about Galciv. Here goes the first couple of items I've had trouble with myself...

1) Diplomacy and trading colors. The main text display in the middle of the Diplomacy screen is an indicator of how the alien empire will recive the deal - Green means a certain deal.

2) Influence points in sectors can be seen by pressing the small button in the top right corner of the detailed sector view. This will give you an exact breakdown of influence in the current sector.

3)CTRL-N will give you a new starmap at the start of the game, you don't have to exit to the game menu again to get better start positions

4) Ctrl-R will re-establish the FOW.

5) The other races have been exploring the galaxy via unmaned probes for mellenia and know where all of the planets are.

6) Ctl-Q will do a "quicksave".
