Now, I know that material things really aren't the measure of how much you love a person.  But, they can serve as demonstrations.  And my wife just shocked me this afternoon.  Big time.

Yep.  She brought me home an XBox 360.  I had a suspicion that she was going to get me an XBox.  But when I opened the bag and saw a 360, well, I was astonished. 

I know that, for a lot here, that isn't probably a big deal.  But this is for someone who has long loved gaming, but only has been able to play on the computer.  I have never, ever had a console.  Well, I suppose that isn't perfectly true.  Many, many years ago my parents bought an Atari 5200.  But since that time, nothing.  No Nintendo of any sort, no Playstation.  Nothing. 

I am totally psyched.  My wife is pretty amazing.

She is a true gem!  Even if I have no clue on why people will spend that much for a unifuction PC!  As Zoomba seems to love it, all I can say is "you young whipper snappers".

Wow, looks great too. I like the wireless controller - makes playing so much easier. My wife bought my PS2 for me and is now talking of updating it to a PS3 when it is released. Pete, I think we are both very lucky to have such wonderful, supportive and understanding women in our lives. Where would we be without 'em, huh?

Pete, I think we are both very lucky to have such wonderful, supportive and understanding women in our lives. Where would we be without 'em, huh?


Wish I could add myself to that list but I can't even get my wife to make me my favorite dinner. Hell I don't even believe that after 8 years she even knows what it is. I have an adiction for electronics, PC's more than anything but I love game consoles as well. Even though we are not financially well, I know even if we were I would never expect something like this from her at all. Guess we not all this lucky.

Good for you, enjoy it. I just have to ask, did she get you a game? And if she did, which one? This would trully show how much attention she pays to you. But no matter what she got you, in the end it's the thought that counts. If she didn't maybe she just forgot, it can happen. In my case, it happens all the time.
