Sector influence bug

Playing the Terrans, somehow my sector influence scores have shot up through the roof. Planets are defecting to me right and left due to my 558405248 sector influence score. While I haven't played in a while, this can't be right. I know that another person reported this, and I looked for the message but could not find it. It might be a good idea to have more than one forum - one for general comments, another for bugs, a third for feature changes/additions, etc.

Also, I've heard that the game is about to go gold (or gamma, whatever that means). After playing it a couple of hours today after 2-3 months off, it still looks like its not done. It will be too bad if this game turns out to be another Hearts of Iron fiasco - a great game released so early as to be unplayable. :(

After saving and re-loading the game, the bug fixed itself. LOL It kind of reminded me of the old trade tech bug, where you could trade other empires a tech or two per planet and get them to trade away their every planet. The way I play I need every advantage possible, but that was too much! ;)

one of the bugs was when you were the pacifist party and lost control of the senate. In one of the threads the stardock people said that they had held a lot of the movies and other things back so when we go 1.0 it would be fresh for all the beta testers. Hope this helps

The Pacifist party was the one I selected.

Does this mean they are going to fix bugs before they add the eye candy?

I think what Brad mentioned was that the movies and such were too big to include in the download for the beta.

The Gamma stage will almost certainly be a bug fixing stage where the remaining bugs are squashed before the game goes gold. The final version of the game will also include much more 'eye candy'.
