Dissapearing Hulls

I have solved my issue with importing my own hull designs into the game. I now have a new problem I was hoping someone can help me out with

I have added my hardpoints to my models and they show up fine in game. When I go to the ship designer to add sensors or any other misc item the game crashes. When I try to add jewlry the ship dissapears and the jewlry remains. At that point I cant add any other jewlry or items.

I tried searching the forum and saw another post regarding this but there was no replies.

Can anyone help me with this, what am I doing wrong?
