Problem using DesktopX and DesktopX Builder.

Hi guys, im new to DesktopX, but i got a big problem.
Ive downloaded the skin Aero-XP windows desktop theme, and i love it, but i want to edit some of the things, but when i switch to DesktopX Builder, and click Properties on something, it comes with an error msg and closes down..
can anyone tell what i need to do to edit something..

Its the typical Windows message that says, DesktopX Builder has found an error and has been closed, we are sorry for the inconvinience. something like that..

Try restarting your computer. Its done the same to me but with a differnt theme, widget. I just restarted computer and it worked fine. If that dosnt work maybe reinstall DesktopX.

yea well. Its like, i dont wanna pay for something i cant get to work.
I mean, as the program fails every time im doing a simple thing.
And when i dont know the full function of the program, meaning i have no clue yet how i make my own skin, cus whatever i do, either i get a error or nothing happens.. so im just testing the free version.
I love the idea that i can make things like the skin Aero-Xp, but when it doesnt work like it should, that gets me annoyed.. Samurize for example is great, as you can do so many things without problems, the thing i just dont like about Samurize is, that it uses sooo much of the CPU usage.. I didnt encounter the same problem with this one, so i really hoped it worked like a charm..

I think you need to uninstall DX and re-install again. Sounds like something got corrupted during the install. This program does usually work like a charm.

I agree with BoXXi. There's nothing wrong with DX but probably with Windows being already corrupted in some way (sorry!), or the installation DX file. Try downloading again and re-installing it, although I don't think it's gonna make any difference if there's a corruption in the ways I mentioned above. Somebody is not right in your machine. Never say die!

First, always clear your DXCache if you are having a repeating problem like this. That can solve a lot of problems. Clearing the Cache 101 by Corky_O

It could be some conflict in the theme as it is being shutdown and reloaded for the switch from dx to dxbuilder. Try loading DXBuilder as clean / empty desktop. Then import the original theme file directly into the builder.

I doubt it has anything to do with your installation. In the past I have experienced similar behavior, but it was sporadic. When I have been able to find the problem it was usually in the scripts of the widget itself, not a problem with DesktopX. Although I suppose it could deal with the problem a bit better.
