idea for the forums: a way to attatch gamesaves into a post.

somewhat inspired by the economy issue post someone had and also because the Civfanatics.com site has this capability.

my idea is to have a way to attatch gamesaves to a post so that if someone needs some help with something large such as economy, others could look at it and help out.

I don't know if its possible to implement it or not, but its an idea that popped up and I'm just giving my thoughts.

There are plenty of free file hosts. A file can be uploaded somewhere and a link can be given in the post.

I know about hosting places for images, but I'm not sure what places would host files like a savegame.

I'm afraid that I've forgotten the link, but I know I've used one in the past that allowed any file to be uploaded.

EDIT: A swift search found this site, which would seem to be exactly what would be needed.

As someone has already posted, there are alot of places that host files. The save games arent that big.
