When I click on the "Menu" button (or use the ESC key) to go to the Options menu, there is a short burst of white noise sound. It is not static but it shouldn't be there.

Have the same problem. Using SB Live 5.2 Sound card.
It also occurs using the Turn Button.

I get it too, using Turtle Beach sound card!

If it's a sound fx, it needs work.

A simple tone would work just fine IMHO.
