problem

I've looked on the forum and I don't see anything so I'll post this now. I've recently updated to the most recent version of both game and media, now when I start the game I get an assert fail !actual <= GetSize() at line 3659 of d:\builds\nt32_chk\multimedia\published\dxmdev\dshowdev\base\amfilter.cpp , it asks if I want to debug. I uninstalled the game, reinstalled the game portion and it worked, went back and installed all of the media files and now it keeps happening, I'm on a Dell latitude c840, windows XP geforce4mx go, 512 ram, pentium 4 1gig I think.....Maybe this has been addressed and I missed it, but I can't find anything and I was wondering if anybody knew anything

Hmm...looks like you're having trouble with our mp3 player. Disabling it should keep the crash from happening. What kind of sound card do you have?

it's whatever dell uses built into their notebook mobos.... it has legacy audio drivers if that helps...thanks cari....going into the config file and turning off music worked....

Casper, I may be wrong, but I think the chip will be some version from CMedia. If you have the option available, check with Windows Update and see if there is an updated CMedia driver. 9x out of 10 I have found this to fix my problems, with other games etc.
