DesktopX has become invisible

The other day, after some update, DesktopX stopped showing any welcome screen or widgets. They are there in the Task Manager, but nothing shows on-screen. Being as I had set DesktopX not to show its icon in the system tray, I don't have any way of accessing its properties anyway. Any ideas anyone? :(

Look in the DesktopX folder - I believe the welcome.exe is in there and the other one, the one that opens the dock with the option to switch to builder, create, etc = forgot what it's called & I 'm not at home to look.

What I'm thinking of could also possibly be in the gadgets or widgets folder. I'm pretty sure it's in one of the 3.

Many thanks. Most of my gadgets I have restored now, and I see that if their icons are not in the system tray they just vanish somewhere and you can't get them back. The only thing I couldn't retrieve is Fishy, whose icon I have no idea how to get back to the system tray. I think this is a bug under the conditions I set up, namely, gadgets at desktop level, no system tray accessibility. Clicking those icons in the tray makes gadgets appear and disappear, but Minimize All causes them to vanish completely, and then you can't get them back without the icon being there.

try F9, F10

if DTX icon is there, you can also switch to builder, then right click on the icon again and 'list'
