Trivia about the new first screen in the game . . .

You know the screen where you pick your game - new, saved game, continue, etc.? Frogboy, is that supposed to be Earth behind the space station? If so, then your map is screwed up - it's reversed and upside down. You can clearly make out Turkey/Asia Minor, the Caspian Sea, the Eastern Med - but they're upside down and backwards - north is south, and east is west, etc. Intentional or not? Do I get a prize for noticing this? :)

Compass directions are a matter of perspective from a viewpoint outside of a planet's gravity well.

Whether the similarities are intentional, and whether that will be the opening screen in the release version or if it's just another placeholder is another question entirely.

North and South I agree, but East and West I think not. Turkey is facing backwards even if you put north where it should be - the Agean ends up being East of Asia Minor instead of West. Look again :)

Africa and Madagascar, oriented correctly, are visible in the freighter animation.

Also, (on the first startup screen, I have yet to see the freighter animation), isn't the famous "boot" shape of Itally a mirror image?
