Testing created ships......

I think the powers that be or the mod gurus should come up with a in game "test program" for user created ships.

For example i build a battlecruiser. Not sure how its gonna work in a real game scenario.. Well be cool to put in a "test" battle just to see how it does...

There's a battle simulator somewhere... don't know if it has been updated with 1.2 rules.

Try the 'battle of the gods' scenario, you will start with all techs researched. Even though you can only be terran you can choose whatever hull style you like when you get to the race customization part.

It is a good thought.

It would be fun to battle test ships in the Combat Viewer but I doubt they will ever do it. Most players probably think it is easy enough to build them and live test them in a game.

The battle simulater only tells you the likely winner based on the stats you plug in so it might not be what you have in mind.
