Dead Race Still Alive?

The Altarian Republic has vanished from the diplomacy and UP screens but they still have a planet and can be reached via the "speak to" button.

I've sent the saved game to Brad and Cari.

Hi magus!

i had it happen about a week ago, BoogieBac is on it. The original thread is buried way down in the forum listings. It's started by me with the title a strange turn of events. Should have made the title much clearer. But i didn't send them a saved game. Glad you did.

It appears to happen here when the AI's planets all have low enough morale that their populations drop to 0 before, but not quite low enough that they revolt. To me, that seems to suggest that it's cause by destabilization or minor debit situations.

Yup, I'm in a game right now where the Arceans have a single planet left with a population of zero. The Arceans have just disappeared from the Foreign Policy screen, but the planet still shows itself as Arcean.

I only noticed this after I traded several trade goods for the Arceans' other planet. It also had a population of zero, however, I was able to continue production on the planet (and complete a corvette), probably due to my overall production capacity, since the planet should have had no production ability at all.

End transmission.

if you invade the star with a transporter it immediately changes to our color, there is no invasion. And Arturus Magi is right about destabilization. I have only seen it happening when i'm massively destabilizing an a.i.

by the way i tried this with an a.i's colony set at 0 population with morale at 1. sent a transport to the star system, it took it immediately with out asking if you wanted to go to war. Diplomacy screen shows us at war. :-(
