Help with modds.

Can't get them to work

I need help from anyone willing to help.. I am trying to get some ship mods to load but having no luck.. I have calactic civilizations II v.1.2 this is what i have done so far word for word.. 1. Copy the S0_Hyperion.X as well as the texture files into your \GalCiv2\Gfx\Models directory (do not rename the texture files, if you rename the X-File the following instructions may not work anymore) 2. Copy the S0_Hyperion.png (the thumbnail) into you \GalCiv2\Gfx\Thumbnails directory 3. open the XMLExample.txt and copy and paste everything from it into your GC2Types.xml located at \GalCiv2\Data\English, make sure that your add it in before the -tag closes the XML part. Best will be to add it where the other hulls are defined (search for "tiny" or for "hull" to find that part of the file). Make a backup of the GC2Types.xml prior to changing it for safety. I also added this to the [email protected] file. Also turned on use mods in the options windows.. But its like i did nothing.. What am i missing.. ANY ONE HELP??????

What race are you playing as, and are you using the Terran style ships?
S0 is the designation for Terran style ships.

Also, judging from your post, and all the spelling errors it contains, you might want to check for errors in the GC2Types.xml file as well.

And you have researched Medium as well as Superior Hulls? They won't show up until you have.

yep wone the game by a tech victory. Had everything researched. Can you add mods in the middle of a game.. could that be the problum. Do you have to be in a custom race and choose terren options? And what is with this mod folder "civ/mods/defalt" or the other choice is "civ/mods/example"...

Based on the way you installed the mod, looks like you don't need the mod folder (you didn't install it in the mods folder, so it should be a hard mod to the game). And there's no mod that will work on a previously saved game AFAIK, so yes, that's probably your problem.
