NCSoft Austin has confirmed reports of company layoffs stating that the company is going through "immediate restructuring." The process will cost some 70 jobs, out of the company's 300 employees, although NCSoft Austin was quick to point out that the development team behind the upcoming MMO, Tabula Rasa was not affected, and is actually still hiring.
Original reports pin the cutbacks on the sluggish sales and sign-ups for the team's latest title, Auto Assault as well as declining subscriptions for City of Heroes and City of Villains. Last but not least comes the rising costs of the aforementioned Tabula Rasa, but an official statement has yet to be released.
