need help with theme

Hello and thanks for reading this post :) I am new to this site but its great i got bootskin and my own boot screen sorted, But having real probs trying to put a new theme in (I hav`nt a clue) sorry if this is a n00b question but any help gratley received thank you :)

Is your question regarding Bootskin? or DTX since you are in DesktopX part of the forum.

If it's a desktopx theme causing the angst:

first order of business - do you have desktopX installed?
if no, go get it via the software tab above or in the desktopx galleries in the description box
if yes, how did it download? a link or a name of theme and author would help.

some download in the dtx format but some are zipped if there are extras included.
