Weird error - help?

hello i've downloaded desktopx and was very satisfied with the desktops. everything seemed to be working fine until i plugged in my external hard drive and now all of the possible desktops give me this error:

DXMain: DesktopX.exe - No Disk

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddis1/DR2.

However, as I said it's an external hard drive. I'd like to keep using this program but I need to use this hard drive so if I can't find a solution I'll be forced to ditch the program :(

try unloading DesktopX when you plug-in your harddrive. then start it back up after you pluged-it-in.

I've activated mine to load on start up and it's fine ,i suggest you remove the hdd casing and check you set the hdd to slave (no jumpers ?? check diagram on hdd label for correct setting) rather than cable select as i've found in the past cable select tends to do strange things to my comp "shrugs" and yes i run externals also, apart from that i aint got anything else to suggest.
