Po' Metro Desktop Theme-Testers Wanted

In case you missed my Screenshot, https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SkinID=16615&LibID=13&comments=1 I have been working on my first DesktopX Theme and I am finally ready to be brutally assaulted and flayed by anyone who is willing to test it for me. I only need a few. Leave a message here on where I can send it.

It's larger than most (4.5MB)..lots of graphics and there are some sound clips. I realize not all email accounts will move files over a certain size and that this may be a pain in the nether-region for dial-up users and I apologize. I really did try to shrink it down. Honest.

Testing is closed for the moment. We have found a significant number of bugs that I have to go back to work on it and do some tweaks.

However, as soon (hopefully over the weeekend) as I have resolved thses issues I will send all of the above the mext version to test, even if you didn't recieve the first version.

Feddback on it has been great and I appreciate all the good commnets on the overall appearance.

Would I have to purchase another program that would allow me to use this skin?


You need DesktopX. It's part of the ObjectDesktop Suite. Requiered ownership in my opinion if you want to customize the look and feel of your PC.

SA workshop

I had tried, but had upload issues. It was also the same day I had upload issues with trying to post it as a SS in the June SS thread. I couldn't get anything uploaded.

You all got mail. However, I sent 'em all at once and someone's email kicked back a request to fill out a form to prevent spam and recieve permission to email. Whoever you are, you didn't get one cause the form got marked as spam and I deleted it accidentally.

The only thing I can't seem to fix is this bussiness of a toggled object from disapearing when another opens. I thought you had to set them to do that but on this, they are doing it all on their own and it's making me nuts.

I know somethings may or may not be bothersome, but the Drag N Drop, The Weather, and the radio I want to stay open when you open up one or the other and have you close them only if you want.

grrr...

Po, you can also upload it to the SA workshop for testing.

I just tried again. At a horkin' 5.20MB, it exceeded the file size limits and was promptly deleted upon upload.

Someday, I will have to make a theme/skin that isn't so freakin' big. I honestly don't set out to do it that way, especially with my IconPackages because I know a lot of people use dial-up. Sigh.
