I agree that crew morale must be maintained, but who's gonna hoist the sails, pump the bilge if we keep ending up with so many swabs incapacitated through hangovers, etc? It shouldn't be left to the officers...certainly not the cap'n. Besides, I don't see these South Pacific ladies letting me out of my cabin fer a while yet.

My wife has been in hospital for a few days and could be there for a while, having had a breakdown over our 16 yo runaway daughter (who is continually going from bad to worse) and a complete lack of co-operation and/or support from the authorities. Just when we thought we'd made some headway towards resolving the issue, it all went guts up. Our lawyer was trying to invoke a law which would have forced Family Services to act in her better interests, but then the damned government practically changed the legislation overnight to avoid having to accept any responsibility to protect her.

Essentially, it was our final hope, so when the news arrived that it had failed, it was more than my wife could cope with and I had to arrange for our GP to visit so he could have her admitted to hospital. It's not the best circumstance but we'll get throught it and move on.

Well welcome back, TheGuyPC, it was so nice of you to drop in. However, it would be nice if you were to give us 'assholes' a break....to lighten up a bit and take what is obviously intended as tongue in cheek humour as a bit of fun. Okay, so we've been lampooning your original post some, but that's indicative of the 'children' we are ....here for a good time, rather than heavy discussion or an argument. Also, my 'party pooper' comment wasn't being critical, just stating the obvious....you haven't been here joining in the fun.

I've had it happen a couple of times now....and it's damned annoying! Just a few moments ago I was typing a reply to Dr Guy and this page came up when I hit the space bar towards the end of a line....strangely enough, after making an abbreviation.

Naturally, I'll run my trojan, spyware and anti-virus proggies to be sure the cause is not on my end, but could this be the work of advertisers/spammers, etc?

I will get back to my reply later, but right now I'm too pissed, having lost it twice cos of this unwelcomed page intrusion.

Well it's not at my end...I ran Spybot, Adaware, TrojanRemover and MS Malicious Software Removal Tool, plus Avast Antispy and came up clean, zilch, nada nasties.

Thing is, I've had it happen a total of three times now and not always to the same page as shown above, so I'm thinking there's a problem somewhere. Just hope what's causing it is found soon. As for Stardock's new mind reading machine....well I turned on the 6 o'clock news and the Houses of Parliament in Hobart & Canberra are still there, so it's not working

Now back to business...
