Was playing AP gigantic challenging, and I had about 6 'clear the ruins' events in a row.

In most of my games, in the first half of teh game, there are no events. Then I start having them quite regularly. But in shorter games, there is no way to reach pure good before the end :notsure:

if your finding yourself kinda short in good or bad credits near the ending of the game, start sending near empty colony ships to some nearby junk planets and colonize them. if no colonization event occurs, then simply scrap the outpost and send more colony ships.

I believe that won't work if you send multiple ships to the same planet (or even star, it's been a while since I went from Pure Good to Pure Evil to sop up the rest of the techs).

It will work on different planets in the same system, but not on the same planet--I just finished a game where I had neutral (56) and was ready to win, but I like pure good. It took five star systems to get there.

Now that you mention it, I've noticed that random events not related to planet colonization (you know, like the one with scientists who find out how to make zombies, or something to that effect) very rarely occur. :notsure: The last couple games I played were Simple/Huge and I don't think I ran into many at all. Was this just a freak occurance, or are others noticing this too? Of course, it's hard to determine if something is wrong because they're random, and thus may or may not occur. LOL

I always play gigantic and get several (non-colonizing) events each game, but there seems to be more events later in the game. :)

I always thought that alignment effects should be modified by map size, because you get more colonization events on the larger maps.

Execept for the supurb Trade Centre improvement you get with 'The Better Way'.
Of course once that's aquired there is nothing to stop one reverting to ones true evil colours. (cue sinister laugh)

Of course, you can always use espionage and hope to steal it from the "goodies" :D :D
