Sony Online Entertainment's ancient MMORPG EverQuest has not only just celebrated its seventh year of play but will also be seeing a new race introduced in an upcoming expansion. The Serpent's Spine will become the MMOs twelfth expansion, introducing the Drakkin, the first new playable race in seven expansions.
SOE hasn't released much information on the new race but we do know that the Drakkin are "Borne of humans touched by a dragon's blood and their colors and appearance represent the dragon who created them."
The Serpent's Spine has more to offer than just a new race. SOE has packed in new content for all levels, while taking the time out to raise the level cap to 75. The content was designed in such a way as to allow a player to go from level 1 to 75 without ever leaving the new area of the Serpent Spine Mountains.
The Serpent's Spine will go live in September 2006.
