Software is hard to come by because everything in interdependent, the monitor, the video board, the actual device drivers, and what each individual program thinks correct gamma is

By reading the pages you sent me I have realized that PC is not the ideal OS to adjust gamma value in LOL
But thanks for the help, I think I got it a bit brighter now:)

Hmm..Power strip, Ill see what it can do, its worth a shot, it cant get any darker.. right?

If you set your refresh-rate too high, then monitors (at least mine!) get too dark. Solution: lower the refresh rate.

Are you really sure you want to change the *GAMMA*? High gamma is just a technique for making colours look washed-out by decreasing the colour range. And has the side effect of making things brighter, if the monitor's not calibrated right. It sounds from your problems as if you need more brightness, not more gamma.

Adobe Photoshop comes with a program called "Adobe Gamma Manager" for adjusting gamma. Also, my video-card drivers have added a page under DisplayProperties, Advanced, Colour Profile (or something like that) for changing the colour-response curves.

Too many people use their computers in brightly-lit spaces, or at daytime with sunlight streaming in, and they set high gamma to compensate, but it looks bad. You'll get much better results by turning down the lights and playing at nighttime. And give your eyes ten minutes to adjust to the reduced light.

Well, I can play in the middle of the night with no lights on and when I run around inside houses in 3D games I still cant see a thing... And you might be right, perhaps its more brightness I want and not gamma.

Well Adobe Photoshop is a BIT to expensive for me to buy just to be able to adjust my gamma setting, it would be cheaper to buy 2-3 new monitors:)
And the setting under "Display Properties, Advanced, Colour Profile" we already discussed here.. And I have added a new color profile wich is much brighter than the default one but it didnt do much in games, its good in windows but as soon as I start a game its the same old "blackie" LOL

And my refresh rate is set to 60Hz so its not very high, I can go up to 75Hz I think, but then the monitor starts to change between diffrent refresh rates every time I start a new application/game...

So unfortunatly I think I have tried most options but to buy a new montior

If the windows desktop is also 2 dark then it might be that your screens lighting is broken (they tend to get less brighter over time, no gamma correction will help you there)
