Mr Froggi

If it isnt possible to add a gamma/brightness option now, is it possible to add it for perhaps 1.1 or 12.1 or any of the other later versions? ;)

Probably not. It would be a significantly lengthy task.

you can change the gamma/brightness in your display Properties, there is even a program called PowerStrip that lets you save profiles of all kinds of video card settings. Lets you enable them at the click of a button. I use it all the time for some games like counter-strike where even at the highest gamma setting it's still to much to dark. I think you can get it at download.com, it's free. ;)

Hmm. Couldn't you just use IDirectDrawGammaControl::SetGammaRamp or an equivalent? (I may be being very naive here ;-))

Interesting idea LOL Now if i can figure out what values to implement i'll try it. Of course i'll probably kill the h&v sync on my first attempt. Better try on my wife's computer, Or better yet the big guy from work. They can always drive up to my house for a quick IT trip and then go surfing in the afternoon :D

do a little programming myself (fractals and other 3d ray vector stuff) I'm understanding windows a lot better now that most of the programs i work on have been coded over to it from unix :D
