On TechCrunch they were talking about this application that sits on your desktop and it filters info from many sources.

I'm just wondering cause I do not know that much about coding (just enough to do simple C+ and VB) but I saw on TechCrunch and I thought, "Can't DesktopX do that?"

Based on what the site is saying I'd say yes. I'm not sold (from a tech perspective)on this being as wonderous as they say. To me it sounds like a beefed up RSS feed with some ranking/sorting features & definitely sounds similar to Klipfolio. I've got an eBay gadget in the works with similar sounding features.

Hey guys - I'm the co-founder of Touchstone so I thought I might join the thread (a bit late i'm affraid)

JoeKnowledge, DesktopX can display data from many sources, but it can not sort and rank those items based on your personal Attention Profile and then use escalating alerts to get your attention.

Citizen, your ebay gadget sounds great, perhaps you might consider making it a Touchstone input adapter so that you can:

a) Take advantage of it's sorting/ranking/caching
b) The output adapters that do all the work for you in terms of presentation and routing
c) Win an XBOX 360
