Galaxy Size Changed?

Has there been a change to the size of the Galaxies? I've been selecting smaller games, just to get a feel for the game, but it seems that the galaxies are bigger than what's stated in the manual. Here's what I've discovered:
Size -- Manual Says - What I see
Tiny ------ 3 x 3 ---- 4 x 4
Small ----- 4 x 4 ---- 5 x 5
Medium ---- 5 x 5 ---- 8 x 8
Large ----- 8 x 8 --- 12 x 12
Huge ----- 10 x 10 -- 16 x 16
Gigantic - 12 x 12 -- 28 x 28
Is this just a case of the online manual being out of date? If so, is there an updated manual somewhere (I've been refering to the manual in the Encyclopedia section).
