If you can't take the heat

If you can't take the heat

Get out of the kitchen!

You know what's fast becoming a pet peeve of mine? Bloggers who just blog with no apparent reason or thought in mind than to just say shit and leave it at that. When they write and you try to have a discussion with them they get all up in arms, bent out of shape and then comes the name calling.

It's like dealing with my four year old only worse!

I won't beat around the bush, I'll just say who has got me going here. This new blogger on the scene Jennifer1 happens to be the one to whom I'm referring.

Take case in point, the following blog to which I responded: Link.

I guess I should have known better than to respond to it but I did:

My response:B>
I quoted someone's comments first:
So you're a white guy

And I quoted her response to that person:
no, it is just the way I wrote it silly! the name is jennifer!

beginning of my comments:

This was her response to what I said:

She quoted me:Oh and your writng style is painful, make it more uniform.

Her response:Sorry dear I cannot change my style of writing - writing is a reflection of ones self. If that means in your eyes I am all over the place so be it!
She quoted me:And given the doctor is a learned man and knows what's what, convincing his patient to accept the help any way he sees fit is up to him, don't you think?

Her response:I most certainly do not think! Who says the patient was not a learned man? You are a condescending pratt! I am not stupid enough, not to realise you are implying I am not a learned person, take your insult and shove it where the sun will never shine darling! Not all people are as educated as you are!
She quoted me: Reverse racism does exist, black on white, black on black, white on white...and of course the other races do factor in this equation as well.

Her response:Reverse racism is black on white my dear - get it right! What I wrote refers specifically to black on white racisim.

You're style of writing is condecending and insulting. Perhaps you could be less insulting in your attitude when you make replies? You do not have to talk down to people you know.
I felt badly that she took my response that way because truthfully I thought maybe it's not so much what I said, but how I said it. You know how that happens sometimes. So I wrote another response:

Two bloggers that used to be here. They were here, (or had just ended their reign here) in the beginning when I first started blogging on JU, I don't know too much about them so I can't say. Just what I've seen and heard in passing from others..

think jennifer is having a bit of fun with us, in a similar fashion.

I think you're right, unfortunately at my expense! I forgot how some people can be so plucky! As my mom taught me sometimes you just got to laugh it off!

Yep. She's been fishing.

Wow, look what happens when I'm away from here for a few days. Okay, I'm not going to add anything more to this other than to say it is obvious this Jennifer1 person has issues that go way beyond here. To call someone a condescending pratt and then turn around and be the very thing she has just called someone else out to be indicates to me someone who doesn't quite know their own mind. Oh well, if she survives here, she is going to have to learn very quickly.

The mere fact she chose to call you this, Serenity, means I won't be going near her until she does something to redeem herself.

You guys complete the move yet?

Nah, tomorrow is the big day. At the moment, our house is chaos personified, with boxes and bits everywhere. We've got rid of a lot of stuff, things we haven't used or that have been in cupboards for the last few years. The temptation has been to say "oh, we may as well hold on to this" even though we haven't used it for years. But we've maintained our original goal to get rid of anything we're not using. And it has worked. But it has been a tough process. Toni has had bronchitis for the last week or so and I've been working then going home to pack as much as I can. But we're looking forward to moving. It is exciting and the place we're going to is going to be a lot of fun.

Nice to see ya

Thanks honey. Hopefully I will be back to more regular blogging soon.

Ah, so sorry about Toni. I hope she gets better soon. I've had bronchitis before, no fun! Hugs to her.

I know what's that like moving and getting rid of stuff. I did the same thing, just closed my eyes and toss them or gave them to someone who could use them. Good on you for getting it done!

Great, looking forward to hear all about the new place and to see you out and about!
