I am verry confused

Ok i really have no idea what I am doing, but I recently tried to install a theme for my pc and it said i needed some software, so I downloaded it. Then I opened it and tried to apply the theme, and was told I needed to registure the software. So I cma to this forum, and reated an account, and was told to download another program. Once I opened this new program and tried to install the theme it said it needed to download some files first, so I accepted the downloads, and once they completed I clicked apply, and was taken back to the registration page. At the moment I am pretty pissed off, because all I wanted was a theme, and I went through about an hour of downloading programs, and installing files, and registrations, and I am still no were. All I really want is the regular windows xp theme in dark red, I dont want to pay $50 just to get it. Is there any way of doing so?

You can get the free version of WindowBlinds. And post a link to the theme you want to use so we can see what your wanting to do.

I dont really get what you mean. I have the free version of windowblinds already, but it doesnt allow me to change the color of anything, and when I change something and click the apply tab it tells me that the feature is only available for the registured version.

Some features are not avaialable in the trial version. Colorizing is one of those features.

That has to be the biggest rip off there is. I have to pay $50 just to change the goddamn color of my start bar, wow. To get a full theme for my pc with those stupid editors would cost me over $100. Doesnt that seem a bit retarted. I think it might be worth something if that windowblinds program created regular goddamn windows theme files, instead of those pain in the ass files that require a program to constantly run on your pc to maintain it. These programs are idiotic. The creators should just kill themselves.

Yeah...the nerve of microsoft to not include that feature for you!

You can theme out your ENTIRE user interface for $50 with Object Desktop.  That's the windows (WindowBlinds), icons (IconPackager), widgets & gadgets (DesktopX) and many other elements.

WindowBlinds doesn't create standard MSStyle files in part because we're not allowed to, and in part because the features built into Microsoft Windows are very limited.  A WindowBlind file is a lot more versatile than a standard XP theme file and can do a heck of a lot more.

Purchase

Windowblinds stand-alone is $19.95.

I guess what it's worth is dependant on how important changing the GD color of your starbar is.

Me myself, I think your attitude sucks. I suggest you write your own GD product and let us know how well it works and how long it took and what the time is equal to at your current salary. Until then, STFU.

Stardock has some nerve... Can you believe that they spend years developing a software and pay the programmers who work for them and shell out money for servers for you to download their products and to have a place for you to download FREE SKINS then turn around and actually ask YOU to pay for the software.. What NERVE... If I was you I would go to a WARZ site and download the Cracked version.. That would show them..And the best part would be that after the Cracked version messed up your computer you could post here again and complain that the CRACKED version messed up your computer. But hey you got it for free. And that's what you wanted RIGHT?????? DO you work for FREE??? Stop bitching about something that is free..

Seems to me, you're very confused because you're not stopping to read any of the information before you start clicking buttons. And in both threads you've started today, you ask for answers while providing limited information on which to base the answers on. We CAN read minds here, but we find it rude to do so.

As Zubaz points out, the full version of WindowBlinds is only $20. For $50 you get all this... https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/features.asp ... for a year. That means if any of those programs are upgraded to the next version, within your subscription period, it's yours for no additional cost. It's a heck of a deal.

I think it might be worth something if that windowblinds program created regular goddamn windows theme files, instead of those pain in the ass files that require a program to constantly run on your pc to maintain it.

Guess what.... even when you're using the standard Windows theme, the Themes service is required, and it doesn't matter that it's called a 'service', it's still a program 'running the background'.

These programs are idiotic. The creators should just kill themselves.

With all due respect......The programs are not what is idiotic here, and until you learn some manners, and learn to investigate things on your own, I wish you would listen to Zubaz, and STFU!
