Electronic Arts has continued its buying spree, this time picking up real-time strategy developer Phenomic. The Ingelheim, Germany-based Phenomic is most recently responsible for the well received SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars which dropped just before E3 this year.
According to a report from the German site, Die Welt, EA will be keeping the studio's management in place and renaming the development house to EA Phenomic. The story continues, mentioning that the house has just announced several new titles, but fails to mention any details on them.
Gamespot on the other hand was able to get in-touch with EA at the Leipzig Game Convention confirming the buyout report and stating that Phenomic will be focusing on RTS games for consoles and PCs.
