question about *losing*

If you lose a game, will it be possible to play out the remainder of the game as an observer, simply to see which race eventually wins?

We actually put in game automation code to test the AI throughout the course of development. We could always just have that pick up the reigns when the human dies, though the code will need tweaked. It's pretty rough around the edges. Definatly a fun little feature to put in, though ;) We'll see what we can do.

cool!

I would hate to invest dozens of hours in a game only to not see how it turned out... especially if you had developed any particular animosities (or friendships) with some of the other races.

I am a longtime MOO fanatic and am hopeful that GalCiv will save what seems to be a faltering genre.

What about if you lose non militarily i.e. Think of losing by Spaceship in Civ but you still wanna have the pleasure of wiping every1 off the face of the planet with hundreds of Tanks =)

The bonus pack will include the ability to turn off victory conditions (except military victory. So yeah, youll be able to play a game where other victories are ignored and only the strongest player will come out the victor :)
