Will we have a Demo + Question about colonization/planet development in GC

I'm a poor guys who came here last year before the beta and am back now just when it's no more available, so never could try the game... :(

So well, should we have a demo soon ?

I' m also rather curious about the colonization/development systems in the game : I've observed that it was that that make me like or not 4X games... It was cool in Moo1, somewhat tedious in Moo2, cool but limited in BOTF, finally not so good in SE4...
I didn't find precise info on the site and the Encylopedia, maybe I missed stg ...

So what's about it ? Can the player colonize planets or is it handled abstractly at System level ?
Do we just have to send a Colony ship, or can we also send additional people/resources ?
Do we have a "build queue" of precise structures/ buildings, Civ-like, or abstract amounts of generic factories/labs à la MOO ?
Is population handled via "colonists/scientists" (Civ) or generic M's of people ?
Can we terraform ? Create planets ? Star systems ?
Mine asteroids ? Buid Death Stars ? Ring Worlds ?

Well, that's enough questions, please answer ! :D

1. Player colonizes the individual planets within the system, but invasion is done on a star-system level. Only one race can control a star at a time.

2. A colony ship is necessary for colonizing (Though an inter-system mode of colonizing has been suggested).

3. Build Queue in the form of 4 customizable "Governors". Tell the governor what to build, then the planet what gov. to use, and the automation will take care of the rest.

4. Population is the overall population, it's not sorted by any sort of job specality.

5. Terraforming is done through social projects (build certain projects to up your planets quality). Creating planets and star systems isnt possible at this point, but perhaps we can make some starbase modules that allow this.

6. You can mine "resources" that will up different aspects of your civilization (Morale, Economy, Military Strength) using starbases. And yes, using starbases you can upgrade to a Terror Star, a slow moving star destruction weapon. As for ring worlds, none yet.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. ;)
