Combine galciv and moo3 together, you have the perfect turn based game

Think about it,add the animated graphics from moo3 and the multiplayer features, combine it with the features of galciv.I no i havent played galciv but by reading about it(its AI) it sounds like it has all the features Moo3 was missing out on.To bad they couldnt combine the two.

Who are "they"?

The games are developed by two completely different companies. They just happens to use the same distributor to produce the CD's and ship the games to the stores.

Yes, this is possible. Just take MoO3's dev time, and add that to GalCiv's dev time, and voila!

You still have a game that sucks, but with an AI that kills you while you try to figure out the interface.

Just teasing...

MOO3 does offer multiplayer but it is thin. There is no hot seat nor is there play-by-email. Moreover, I think design of MOO3 makes it very easy to exploit (all you need is notepad).

I hope that GalCiv's multiplayer (if and when it becomes available) will be both more secure and more flexible. I think the decision to hold off on multiplayer until it can be done correctly is a good one.

GalCiv's graphics are considerably better than MOO3's already, and have plenty of animations. Combining the two might make MOO3 a better game, but it wouldn't be doing any favors to GalCiv.

LeTharq,
as for exploitation possibilites, the game was made specifically so that it could be easily modded, hence the big use of spreadsheet files.

Also, I really don't think Galciv needs anything from Moo3, them being two compeletely different games and with different approaches to empire governing.

You will see exactly what I mean, when you try it(galciv) :)

I was wondering abut that. I have the GalCiv gamma nad MOO 3. GalCiv has a lot more animation. More cut scenes, better alien animations, better planet rotating animations. Everything in the the game seems more alive. The only thing is missing are little dots dancing around shooting each other. GalCiv explosions are better. GalCiv battles look cooler to me.
