The alien races

Are the alien race's physical appearance already decided?

If not, make a race NOT humanoid. In nearly ever game the alien could be a human in a rubber suit. How about an a single-celled life, super-sized! The Shivan in Freespace werent humanoids, by any means, and they looked sweet!!

(Hope this forum is for some concept opinion ;p )

Also, I've thought about a story idea. Have an alien race which is always in a completely covered suit. Like the Vorlons on B5, but make them turn out to be humans at the end of the game. Make us gamers think and crave more story! The big money maker games have complex story lines. Feed us information :d

Well you do have the Yor. The Yor are pretty much every form you can imagine since they're a synthetic life form.

The Arceans and Drengin are pretty humanoid and the Altarians look exactly like humans (there is a back story for that which may or may not show up in the game). Only the Torians are really up in the air in that sense.

But there will be plenty of non humanoid life forms in the game as minor races who will appear in events.

That was one of the (few) cool things about Ascendancy, if I remember correctly ... some of the alien races looked *really* alien!

We have one particularly unique creature that's in an event.

It's a small race of hyper intelligent beings. They're about half a foot tall with blue skin. They wear nearly identical "clothing" which is white including a stocking-like cap.

Nearly the entire race is male except for a lone female. Only females have hair.

I can't think of quite the right word to describe them...
